WP2

System-Level Exploration & Analysis of 3D Designs

WP2 will explore the 3D design space and will finally provide an optimal mapping of a given application to the 3D architecture. The 3D-DOL framework will be the main outcome of WP2, and it will be used in both application and architecture exploration context:

• Within WP1, 3D-DOL will provide performance figures assisting the architectural exploration in a constant-application/variable-3D architecture fashion. The goal is to simulate and compare several 3D manycore candidate architectures based on 3D stacking;

• Within WP3, 3D-DOL will be used in a variable-application/constant-3D-architecture fashion to map applications onto the 3D manycore architecture selected by WP1.
